Saved by his cell phone

Slidell, LA -- RJ Richard was on his riding lawn mower, tending to his 5-acre spread in Slidell, when something hit him in his chest. He thought it was a rock that kicked up from underneath the mower.

He pulled out his cell phone from his chest pocket, which is where he was hit, and a bullet fell out and into his lap. It was a 45-caliber bullet that was stopped by his trusty Motorola cell phone. For some reason that day, he put the phone in his shirt pocket. He usually carries it in his pants pocket.

Ever since that happened, RJ feels like a changed man. He's spending more time with his wife. And his wife says her husband is doing more of the right thing.

RJ figures the bullet must have come from a hunter in the nearby woods.
