Her shoes were made for walking, and they apparently walked all over a couple of people outside a Salt Lake City club over the weekend.

A 23-year-old Mapleton woman was arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail early Saturday for investigation of two counts of aggravated assault.

Her weapon? One of her high-heeled shoes.

A group of people had just left a bar near 150 West and 500 South about 2:30 a.m. and were deciding what to do with the rest of their evening when another group approached and tried to tag along, said Salt Lake Police Sgt. Fred Ross.

When the first group said the second wasn't invited, an argument ensued which escalated to a scuffle, he said. During the scuffle, the 23-year-old woman took off one of her high-heeled shoes and started hitting two people on the head with the heel part of her shoe, Ross said.

The victims required Band-Aids but were not transported to local hospitals.

The woman was booked into jail and later bailed out.
